What is this process actually?

The "VIANT" process is a conversion coating and primer in a single coating layer, providing reliable corrosion protection for edges and internal surfaces. It is anticipated that "VIANT" will eventually replace the industry standard E-Coat (KTL) primer process in both the automotive industry and any other industry where quality corrosion protection is required. The advantages over E-Coat (KTL) priming are shorter process chain, resource savings, lower operating costs and a smaller environmental footprint.

VIANT is a user-friendly and more sustainable way to improve the coating process. The process is characterised by higher efficiency and lower environmental impact.

Compared to other conventional coatings, VIANT enhances coating performance - a homogeneous, thick, dry layer on the inner surfaces and greater coverage at the edges - while saving costs and process steps.

The VIANT process can usually be easily integrated into available production lines. The result: increased productivity, reduced chemical maintenance requirements and reduced input costs. This is how we were able to integrate our existing anodising line into our existing anodising line at an investment cost of around HUF 200 million without major modifications, with financing from OTP Bank.
