The PA-E-Frame-S system is a robotic welding cell designed for automated MAG series-welding tasks. Its main components include one Panasonic TM-20000WGH3 (TAWERS) welding robot, two Panasonic PD1000 positioning units, as well as a linear travel track with its associated servo motor.

Workflow

The operator places the workpiece to be welded into the dedicated fixture on either side A or B of the welding cell. Once finished, the operator confirms the loading by pressing a button, exits the robot’s working area, and then activates the light curtain from outside. By pressing the “start” button located on a start box mounted on the adjacent wall, the robot begins welding the workpiece according to the pre-programmed instructions.

When the process is completed, the robot returns to a safe home position and awaits the next “start” signal to begin a new welding cycle.

In parallel operation, while the robot is welding on one side, the operator removes the finished welded part from the opposite side and places a new workpiece into the fixture. The operator then confirms loading by pressing a button, exits the robot’s working area, and activates the light curtain. The next step is to press the “start” button to initiate the welding process on that side. Once the robot returns to its home position after completing the work on the previous side, it automatically begins welding on the newly loaded side. This process can be repeated continuously.
