Anodizing

Anodizing is an electrochemical process used to treat the surface of aluminum and aluminum alloys. During the process, a thin, hard oxide layer forms on the metal surface, protecting it from corrosion, increasing wear resistance, and providing an aesthetic appearance.

How does anodizing work?

• Preparation: The aluminum surface is cleaned and degreased.
• Anodizing: The aluminum is immersed in an electrolyte solution (e.g., sulfuric acid solution) and an electric current is applied. The aluminum acts as an anode, and an oxide layer forms on its surface.
• Sealing: We use an energy-saving cold seal (cycle time extended to 24 hours).
• If the product is left unsealed, our company can apply a powder coating in a range of colors according to the RAL and other color scales.
