Super Active Aluminum Robotic Welding

The PA-E-Frame-S is a robotic welding cell used for automated MIG series welding tasks. The system consists of a Panasonic TM-20000WGH3 (TAWERS) welding robot, two Panasonic PD1000 positioning devices, a linear travel path, and the associated servo motor.

Thanks to the servo wire feeder built into the welding gun and the Super Active TAWERS technology, stable welding quality and low (almost zero) spatter can be achieved during the MIG (aluminum) welding process.

Thanks to controlled wire feeding and targeted droplet separation, spatter and deposits that can occur during welding can be successfully avoided. This is largely due to full BUS communication between the robot controller and the power source, as well as the servo-driven welding gun. By avoiding spatter errors during the welding process, the need for costly rework can be greatly reduced, resulting in lower overall process costs.

In the Stitch Pulse process, the power source is alternately "turned on and off".

The Super Active process ensures a smooth start by frequently pulling the welding wire out of the molten pool. When welding starts with the Super Active process, sufficient energy is available for fusion, and a spatter-free arc can be established.
